In this generation many companies now are exists, and many are successful. But do you know how and why they made their company grow and expanded into many branches and be successful persons? For me, I think they reach it to the top because the companies they have are really a need in the world and it really has meaning and big purpose to all people. We all know that it’s really hard to think on what would be a good start up business nowadays because their many big companies existing. It’s all also hard to start a business for a reason that the big businesses might have adopted already the business. So for those who will start a business, first thing that you will consider is why would you put up the business and what is the main purpose of it, then search some information about the business you desire if it still in demand and research some information of new trends of technology that might be a help for your start up businesses. By the way don’t start a business because you really need money and you badly needed to be rich because in order to make a business successful and expand into many branches we should consider if it helps the society and the lifestyle of the people. I know its part of the reason why we put up a business, but we don’t need to stick to that reason and make it our priority because in order to gain and earn money is by your business. So when you just aim for money alone, you’ll be having hard time to reach it because a business which produces productive products can only succeed in this industry. So in business don’t just think for your own good but think for the good of all because when you succeed to help the society then you can have your money. In that situation you don’t just help the society and improve the lifestyles you also help your self too.
I have some ideas now after I have seen the video of MR. Guy Kawasaki about starting a company or business. In that video Mr. Guy Kawasaki tell his student that in starting business or company we should first think of what is the meaning of the company or business we will starting, what would be the main purpose of it. By the way who is Mr. Guy Kawasaki? I have some research done of information about Mr. Guy Kawasaki. So in the research I have done it appears that Mr. Guy Kawasaki is a managing director of Garage Technology Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm and a columnist for Entrepreneur Magazine.Previously, he was an Apple Fellow at Apple Computer, Inc. Guy is the author of nine books including Reality Check, The Art of the Start, Rules for Revolutionaries, How to Drive Your Competition Crazy, Selling the Dream, andThe Macintosh Way. He has a BA from Stanford University and an MBA from UCLA as well as an honorary doctorate from Babson College.. In his video I have learned that in staring a business we should make meaning out of it in order to succeed because I business without a meaning can be considered useless for the reason that what the purpose of it if it doesn’t have a meaning or a goal. Like some companies, I think most of them are making the world changed and make it better for all. Most companies also change the lifestyle of people, as what our facilitator said. Like now, in the past people communicates by the use of letters. It takes to long before you can read it. But now, by the help of some companies we may able to communicate via cell phones, and telephones. Even when you’re far from each other just by the use of internet you can still connect and communicate with each other. This should be a companies should be the purpose of, to change the world and make it better and increased the quality of life. So for those who will put up start up business, my suggestion is to know what the need of the society most especially peoples because peoples are the one who will engage and will buy the products. And also think widely before you decide on what your business will be because it’s really hard to think of best business that will grab the attention of the people. Then be a risk taker in order to survive every struggle you may encounter, and have faith to GOD and to your self in order to take all those struggles smoothly.

Increase the quality of life
In the world of businesses most of them increase the quality of life by changing the lifestyle of each person with the products they producing. Just like for example drinking a coffee, before you can drink first your coffee you’ll need to have a hot water, coffee, Nescafe, and sugar, then put it together then steer it. Now we only need to have 3 in1 coffee and hot water to have a coffee. By the technology existing nowadays people may enjoy their life at the same time make it easier than before. One example also of increasing the quality of life is in the internet, by the help of some social networking sites people may able to communicate even if their far from each other. One thing that makes a change of life style is by those social networking sites people may able to gain many friends and knows one another. Also with the help of social networking site people around the globe become one for 1 campaign, like what happens in facebook, people were changing their primary pictures into a cartoon characters for one reason and that is stop child abusing. Company’s products really help peoples in their daily life and life styles. So with them people may able to do things somehow possible, although there are some factors that businesses and companies brings, but still as a whole they were playing a big part in the improvement of the world to a better place. For those who will put up businesses make your businesses really productive and make your business one of the help that people needs because although there are many companies and businesses are existing, still theirs still lacking in this society, and still there’s a place for everyone that want to start a businesses. Just search some information that might help you in starting your businesses, also make your business increase the quality of life by making products helpful to people because with that you may bale to benefit on that because the profits will be good, at the same time you able to help improve the quality of life to make it better.

Right a wrong
Right a wrong, in business you can be stagnant on something because their might be some changes or improvements needed in that product. Like when a product has something wrong then improve it and make it better to be able to use it and make it more productive. An example of it is like what happens in some car distributors, someone died because of the defective of the car. So if you were able to think of a solution to improve it and make it better, you can help them and innovate it and make it better. With that, they were not only the one that benefits with but also you, and because of it you were able to help them back the trust of their customers and you have also save life. In your own business don’t take to calmly your success, be vigilant and explore of what can cause of something wrong in your business, then if you find some troubles, then work for it to improve what is wrong and make it better. In business you can assure that there will no problems that you will encounter because problems are always a part of it before you can be successful, so you better deal with it, be a risk taker. By just improving it you can produce productive products that can cause betterment of the life style of a person.
You can also be part of the improvement of something to right a wrong by just exploring fro what something wrong or lacking around you, then if you saw or have an idea on what should be the things to be improve then apply it to your business. By just exploring around you can find many improvements that should be done and you can be part of the improvements to make it right. There are still something needed to be improve in this society like in hospital, even though most hospitals have high-tech gadgets and devices for their patients still there still needed to be added technologies to able to cure illnesses. Although it may cause much for them but it can still help them for the improvement of the hospitals. Nowadays we can say that it’s really hard to innovate something when your company or business is still starting to grow or expand, but don’t lose hope because you might better ideas than anyone that can be productive and useful because even if they have the needed technologies you can still compete them if you’re just imaginative and innovative like them. It’s not just about how high-tech you were using, it’s about how do you make solutions for every problem because technologies are not the reason of the success they just part of it. You are the one who thinks and produce ideas for solutions, technologies is just a tool to implement an output of your ideas.

Prevent the end of something good
In business you should not end a thing that helps the people or don’t let others destroy what’s good for the improvement of the world. In the world of business you’ll need to produce what can cause goodness to all and don’t let it be stop. Just improve the necessary improvements that need to be done because if you let it ends it might cause big effects to people. Don’t stop producing products that really helps the society most especially people because with just a little help still it has a big impact and cause changes in the world that might make the world be better. Don’t mind if it will bring just a bit impact rather think of making it better or improve it instead of ending it. Although businesses now are aiming for a big profit but still they are not ending producing beneficial products to the society. So as an Information technology student and future Technopreneur if blessed I would probably helped them to prevent of ending producing products that are useful and beneficial to all, because for me it’s better to try to improve something that might help the society and at the same time gain money from it than to directly end it and change it.

As a future Technopreneur we should preserve things that been invented for the improvement of the world and life style of the people. Instead of rejecting and disregarding those things, innovate it and make it more productive. Don’t let it end up because without those things that let the world change we might not live like this. We should be part of preventing the end of something good because without those we can’t increase the quality of life.

What I have learned in technopreneurship 1?

Learning’s comes in different form and many ways. We have so many learning’s as we go along in our lives. Learning’s is not just in school but we got also in our environment and surroundings even in our own experience that gives us lesson and learn from that.

Talking in our subject which is Technopreneurship 1, I have learned a lot from this subject, some of them are what technopreneurship is all about and why is it really important to us information technology students. As defined in the internet, Technopreneurship is High-tech and entrepreneurial skills are driving our economy back to prosperity. Technopreneursip-merging technology prowess and entrepreneurial skills- is the real source of power in toda's knowledge-based economy. A technopreneur distinguishes logic from tradition, tradition from prejudice, prejudice from common sense and common sense from nonsense while integrating a variety of ideas from diverse groups and disciplines. Technopreneurship is not a product but a process of synthesis in engineering the future of a person, an organization, a nation and the world. Strategic directions or decision-making processes are becoming more demanding and complex. This requires universities, and in site professional development programs and training to produce strategic thinkers who will have skills to succeed in a rapidly changing global environment. So in short technopreneurship is the combination of technology and entrepreneurship.

Last semester, in our technopreneurship 1 our facilitator tells us what supposed to be our mindset as we take this subject. Before our mindset as student was just to go to school, then graduate and be employed in a company. But our facilitator thought us that in technopreneurship, our mindset should be to go to school, then graduate and be an employer of our own company, not to be employed by an employer. I have also learn that as future technopreneur we should aim for the best not for just better because as future technopreneur we should be talented like Steve Jobs and be wise like Bill Gates. To be like them and be one of the richest businessmen’s in the world. I have also learned that as future technopreneur we should think widely and discover new trends instead of sticking in what knowledge and trends we just know. So in the first activity that we have, our facilitator gives us an activity which we will visit some fast food chain and observe in their facilities and technology they are using then suggest some changes and additional technology that might help the establishment be more productive. Most of us visited Jollibee, Mc Donalds, and Chowking which are I think the top fast food chain in the Philippines. In my experience in visiting the Jollibee at Tagum City I have noticed that customers have hard time waiting for their tern to order. In terms of their technology use its fine but I have some suggestion that might help their security to maintain the safety of their customer. I want to suggest having their establishments a detector that can detect harmful stuffs even if you’re still far from the establishment. I can say that it might help because nowadays terrorism is really a big treat to us because we can’t know everything. As I visited the Jollibee, I have learn that even how success a business or establishments are, still they should have to add some technology or other features that might help them to be more productive. I have also learn that If we put up a business we should consider new trends and strategies to be applied in the business you want to build because every year or maybe months, technology are evolving fast.

In our technopreneurship 1, we have watched the Pirates of the Silicon Valley which is a story of Apple Company and Microsoft Company really started. As we watch the Pirates of the Silicon Valley I have learn that in order to make it to the top you must aim for the best and take risk for what you really want to have. Like us as future technopreneur we should be risk taker and imaginative person. In that movie I have also learn how Bill Gates overcome Steve Jobs and be counted in the most riches business man in the world. We have also discussed about the commencement address of Steve Jobs. In the commencement address of Steve Jobs we have tackle the 3 topics of it which are the connecting the dots, love and losses, and about death. In connecting the dots I have learned that everything has a purpose. I have also learned that we should make our everyday meaningful and be productive because our present plays a big part in our future which determines on what status we will be having soon. In the second topic which is the love and losses, I have learned that we should find what we really want and love to do because if you find your love, you will go and pursue for it, put more efforts on it and take risk in what your really love. It just like in a relationship, if you really love that person you will all just to have him or her and do things just to protect the one you love. And if you follow your passion their no reason for you to regret it because it your choice and their no one to blame for the decision you made. The third and last topic is the death, in this topic I have learned that we should let every second, minutes and days counts and make it productive for the reason that our Lord God Give this life and we should live with it to the fullest with his commands and wills. I have also learned that we should really give importance ad love to our life because our life in the world is just temporary, we just live here to witness, see and experience the creations of God and gift for us. So we should make it really productive in a right and proper way that no one will be affected in every step you are taking.

We have also tackle about SEED model which will serve as our guide in our IT elective 1 and 2 subjects which is the technopreneurship 1 and 2. In technopreneurship 1 we have only discussed the first model which is the self mastery and the other will just be continued discuss in our technopreneurship to subject. The first model in the SEED model which is the self mastery is all about finding our passion and to know what we love to do, what is my best at and what are our irritants. As our facilitator discussed the first model I have learned that the model mostly focused on our characteristics and attitude. In the self mastery model we have also discuss personality traits, emotional quotient, adversity quotient, and intelligence quotient. We have also done some online test on it. As I take the personality trait test the result came out that I “somewhat entrepreneur” which our facilitator tell us that we the capability of a technopreneur and we have the entrepreneurial skills. At first I am so confused on the result because I haven’t experience yet about business but as our facilitator discuss more I have learned that most of us can be a successful technopreneur even if it takes long term of process to really be successful. As I take the intelligence test I have failed to pass the average grade of the test because of time pressure, but it just fine with me because I know my capacity and I know that I’m not that dull because I failed to pass the test. In taking the emotional quotient test I pass the average test and I have learned that I’m really an emotional person which I highly agreed. I also pass in the test in adversity test. In general, as I took those tests I have learned that intelligence test in considered least important because knowledge doesn’t really plays a big part in the success o a person although it has some part in the success but not totally. In addition, adversity quotient test really has the more important rule and part in the success on a person because in that kind of test it is more on real life situation. I have also learned that adversity test gives and helps like us as future technopreneur on how to deal and handle complicated situations as we go along with our life.

As we go along with our class in technopreneurship 1, our facilitator gives us the chance to proposed our own business and present it to the class. Our facilitator groups all of us into 5 in order to brainstorm our ideas to think of an ideal business proposal. In making the business proposal, I’ve find it hard to brainstorm ideas for the business proposal because of existing companies nowadays and also because of technologies that companies are using. By the way before we have make the first proposal that been rejected we have gathered some guide base on “what we love to do”, what we best at”, and what is our irritants” in order to make a business proposal that’s really fit to us. As we think of what our ideal business should, I have learn that proposing a business really need takes many days in order to perfectly meet the needs in this generation and also before making a business proposal we should take some guide in order to organized it. Base on our experience the first attempt of business proposal we proposed was been rejected for the reason that our proposal was so common and call it a “chocks to go” because it all ready existing and many are using it. I have also learned that in a business proposal we should research successful businesses, new trends and other factor that should be consider in making a proposal because in this generations it is really hard to propose a business plan. As we have composed again of a new business proposal we have figured out at first that most of the business proposal that’s been accepted is middle man. So our group decided to think again of business proposal that we are the middle man basing on our love, best at and irritants. As we think of our business proposal I’ve doubt that it will be accepted because it is really common and I think it’s not helpful nowadays. When others proposed their business proposal, most of them are still rejected because it already exists. So when many are been rejected I have noticed and learned that the business proposal that our facilitator is a type of business that are high-techs and useful for a lifetime not just for a couple of years. Just like the proposal we have proposed which is a high-tech watch that can monitor blood pressure, pulse rate and heart condition of the person if still normal. It has also built in map for travelers and tourists for them not to get hard of finding their destination. As we make that business proposal we have learned that we should consider whose our beneficiaries and what is the big impact of it in our prospect beneficiaries.

In general, I think Technopreneurship really has big purpose and help not just Information Technology and Computer Science Student but also to anyone who are really willing to engaged in this kind of industry and to those who are risk taker which do anything to pursue what they really want to do. Being a Technopreneur you should have the presence of mind, a risk taker, decision maker, passionate and other factors that a good Technopreneur must possess. For me, I can’t consider my self as a technopreneur because I don’t possess those characteristics that I’ve mentioned for the reasons that I’m not ready yet and still in the process of developing the skills. I may have the idea but I haven’t had the strength to stand alone in my own decision in that kind of situation.

Trends and Opportunities in convergence
Convergence? So what is convergence, it is defined in the internet as:
• the occurrence of two or more things coming together
• the approach of an infinite series to a finite limit

So convergence is the merging of things to make it better. For example, the death of consumers and the existence of prosumers which most country now adopting. So what do I mean of the death of consumers and replaced by the prosumers. In the past generation customers are only depending on what businesses are producing for them, customers are demanding on what they really want even if they were paying for it. Like when you’re buying a food, you are paying to eat a food in there own desire not in your own desire. Unlike now, people or specifically customers are now demanding; they are paying for what they really want to have; and most customers now are not get easily satisfy on products that business are producing. They are called prosumers because they are the one who demands on what they are paying for not the businesses that produces it. Like in some fast food chains like Mc Donald’s in there past years since they were started, they are just producing foods on their own imaginative mind, now Mc Donald’s are offering free customizing of their products base on what the customers wants and desires. In this case they were able to make more profit because of changes they made.

In this generation many convergence trends and opportunities are existing and some of it is new technologies, new services and new business strategies and market strategies. Business services, some services nowadays offer customizing in your own desire, online ordering, and others. Business strategies, businesses now are creating and imagining new ideas and strategies to make their businesses more productive, like online selling. There are also business adopting and implementing a kind of business strategies like virtual communication by the boss and his or her employees in the company to update the status of the company. Technologies now are playing a big part in the business industries to produce world call products in the market. We can also trends in convergence the making of products to make it more convenient to customers, like what happen in some products now, the existence of instant drinks, instant foods, and others. There are also trends in advertising, as a matter of fact I have search trends in advertising by the Nielsen company.

Though the overall advertising environment in 2009 was glum by most accounts, a number of trends are nonetheless continuing to take hold as the industry evolves to meet new marketplace realities, according to The Nielsen Company.

Most notably, Nielsen said, advertisers are beginning to look at the media mix more holistically and to take seriously the increasing need for accountability beyond simple “click-through” metrics. They also are starting to embrace burgeoning social networks and consumer-generated media as advertising and branding platforms that can help them bring consumers closer to a product or brand.

Nielsen’s advertising trends for 2010:
1. Optimizing media convergence will become top priority: Continued corporate mandates and pressure to measure ROI will lead to a better understanding of media convergence and how various media work together. The ability to accurately measure activity and link online ads to offline purchasing behavior will be critical.

2.New models will emerge to take advantage of smartphones: Accurate mobile measurement will be required for advertisers to stay head of the snowballing growth of that media platform.

3. More cross-media ad campaigns will surface: The massive growth of online video games played and shared online is leading the way for more successful interactive and cross-media advertising campaigns to appear. Growth in the adoption of such advertising across screens and activities will increase.

Opportunities in convergence are been realized because there many things needed to be developed especially in marketing. They seen many problems that occur in marketing,; people are not satisfy on what products they have; and people are demands on what they really want and they are willing to pay for it worth. We have also an opportunity in the development of agriculture with the help of technologies. There are still many improvements needed in the agriculture industry to maximize the productivity of it. We can also minimize their problems in their manual managements to lessen the hassle that they may encounter. By the help of technology in agriculture industry, we may able to help them increase their profit and developed their marketing strategies when they will sell their goods soon. We can also do online promotions of products in some social networking sites. Some social networking sites now are not just for meeting and gaining many friends or to communicate with love ones far from you, now it is also used for online selling and promotions of products, it is also used for campaigned to communicate to many people. Start up businesses can also adopt this kind of strategy because by this you may promote you products to everyone, and by that you can gain more profit in that strategy you apply for you business and we can consider that as an opportunity I convergence because you have able to change your strategies form manual or offline promotions to online promotions. There are also opportunities in mobile applications or the development of cell phone or smart phones. We might think of what improvement needed in the smart and cell phones nowadays, although most cell and smart phones are high-tech because most of it are almost alike to computer, it can access internet access, you can search for information, we can watch TV through our mobile phones and it can also store electronic books. It’s really hard to think of new development in mobile phones but still we can improve the performance of it to make it better because I believe that technologies like mobile phones still needs improvements to make it better. There are many opportunities in some country that are not trying convergence especially in marketing. There are also some who are adopting it now and change their marketing strategies from manual to technological type of marketing strategies like in social networking sites.

Changing the habits of the consumer may improve the mobile technology and it will driving invest to the region’s telecoms infrastructure. For a long time, media convergence was a case of traditional media adapting to the online world. But increasingly, the chosen platform for convergence is mobile devices. More time is spent using data services such as internet browsing, social networking, instant messaging, gaming, mobile TV, video on demand and navigation-based applications. The quality of the data experience has become just as, if not more, important than the voice experience. Convergence allows one media outlet to take advantage of features and benefits offered through other media outlets. For instance, in many areas around the world television programming is now delivered digitally via cable, telephone or satellite hookup. This delivery method uses the same principles of information delivery that is used to allow someone to connect the Internet. The convergence of television and Internet opens many potential opportunities for marketers to target customers in ways not available with traditional television advertising. For example, technology may allow ads delivered to one household to be different than ads delivered to a neighbor’s television even though both households are watching the same program. But convergence is not limited to just television. Many media outlets are experiencing convergence as can be seen with print publications that now have a strong web presence. Many experts view this as simply being the tip of the iceberg, as all facets of institutional activity and social life such as business, government, art, journalism, health, and education are increasingly being carried out in these digital media spaces across a growing network of information and communication technology devices. The Television, Radio and Newspapers are the world's main mediums in accessing news and entertainment. Now, all 3 mediums have converged into one and people all over the world now can read news on the Internet. Convergence of media occurs when multiple products come together to form one product with the advantages of all of them, also known as the black box. Converging technologies seems to be squashing many types of demanded technologies into one. Mobile phones are becoming manufactured to not only carry out phone calls, text messages, but also hold images, videos, music, television, camera, and multimedia of all types. Manufacturers are now integrating more advanced features such as video recording, GPS receivers, data storage, and security mechanisms into the traditional cell phone. Media convergence in reality is more than just a shift in technology. It alters the relationship that already exists between industries, technologies, audiences, genres and markets. Media convergence changes the rationality in which media industries operate and also the way that media consumers process news and entertainment. Bearing in mind that media convergence in reality is essentially a process and not an outcome, there is no single black box that controls the flow of media into our homes and workplaces.

DEATH OF CONSUMERS ( prosumers )

In our subject project management we have learned one of the convergences which is the death of the consumer and the existence of prosumers. . As far as I remember as what our facilitator said, prosumers is simply the being not satisfy of what companies produces for consumers and for being in demanding of consumers. Prosumers is defined in the internet as a portmanteau formed by contracting either the word professional or producer with the word consumer. The term has taken on multiple conflicting meanings: the business sector sees the prosumer (professional–consumer) as a market segment, whereas economists see the prosumer (producer–consumer) as having greater independence from the mainstream economy. It can also be thought of as converse to the consumer with a passive role, denoting an active role as the individual gets more involved in the process. But way back to old type or kind of consumers or customers when prosumers are not yet existed, customers just buy thing what’s available in the mall or everywhere. Like in some fast-food chains, they offer food in their establishments in what available and what they just offer. But now with the help of technologies businesses are evolved because of the demands of the consumers. They now offer customizing of food online that fits what their appetite really wants to eat. In past years it’s really quite boring and have insufficient products existed but now with the help of experts and technologies, impossible now are made possible for consumers just to satisfy their need.

The term “prosumer” originated with Alvin Toffler, who first used the term in his 1980 book The Third Wave. Toffler defined the prosumer as someone who blurs the distinction between a “consumer” and a “producer.” The term has since come to mean a variety of things, but here we define it as someone who makes little distinction between his or her home and work lives. The prosumer engages in activities belonging to either sphere, regardless of time or location.

Because of their complex lifestyle, which combines a demanding workload and an active family life, prosumers are eager adopters of Web 2.0 products and services—a convergence of process innovation, global marketplaces, and advanced technologies that fundamentally changes the way consumers buy, retailers sell, and products are brought to market. Prosumers typically embrace Web 2.0 technologies such as social networking (Facebook, MySpace), blogging, video on demand (VoD), podcasting, VoDcasting, virtual realities (Second Life, There.com), mobile communications, and other Internet-based technologies and services that allow people to stay connected whenever and wherever they desire. We refer to this as “Connected Life,” and the prosumer is an enthusiastic and early adopter of the connected lifestyle. Not all prosumers use all these technologies, of course; they access whichever technology subset best suits their individual preferences and lifestyles.

Prosumers is really existing nowadays as high technologies are growing and expanding in the world. Being prosumers are been adopt in many countries in the world because nowadays consumers are willing to pay for the cost of what they really want. Consumers are not easily get satisfied on something that they see if that is not their want because consumers now are demanding and they want to have what they really want. But there are still who satisfies on what are existing products now because they are alike of what they want and they are satisfied in its products. Just what in the studies conducted by The Cisco Internet Business Solutions Group (IBSG), prosumers prefer laptop computers to desktops because of their need to be mobile. They spend more of their discretionary income on entertainment than most people, and are interested in multiscreen applications. If they commute, their commutes tend to be longer, and they work at home some percentage of the time (many are full-time home workers). For me would prefer to use laptop also because of its portability, its physical design, and other features that laptop computers advantages than desktop computers. Although desktop computers and laptop computers have differed in some factors, they still have similarity in terms of functionality, but for me laptops have more advantages than desktop computers. Mobile phones evolve I think because of feedbacks they hear and read. In pass years mobile phones are just ordinary phone that can call and text particularly use for communication devices. Now mobile phones are evolve not just for communication device but also for some uses that can be enjoy be consumers in this generations. Mobile phones now have cameras, music player, radio, video players, and others. Consumers have satisfied in the phones existing but there something else I think they want in mobile phones. So touch screen phones exist and grow largely that really satisfy the wants and needs of consumers. As watches exist, it came first to many processes before it became that slim and small. Watches I think made first very big that we can’t imagined, I think it’s been made smaller and fashionable as years passes by because time is really important to people most especially business man. So they made it slimmer, smaller and fashionable that can be used for accessories at the same time because consumers want the watches portable that they can bring wherever they go that at the same time fashionable and presentable to others. In this evolution of product produce are inspired because of the needs and wants of consumers. In my observation products in the pass are been innovated and make it more productive in order to make it more useful. It’s been because of the demands of consumers to businesses that made them realized that’s it’s one good idea in businesses that can help their company or businesses increase their profits also help the industry and society to increase quality of life and change the world to better. Although many businesses are bringing all impossible things to reality to customers, there are still missing or lacking in this world that can still be identify and then innovated.

Marketing strategies of businesses are also evolving because of being in of consumers in high technologies that existing now. Technologies really part of life of most people nowadays and most of them are quite dependent on it. Businesses adopt new opportunities particularly with the use of internet because people are mostly using internet every day. So businesses adopt online selling and promotion of products in internet to increase profit and help change the lifestyles of consumer in terms of buying things. Consumers find really productive type of strategies they think because consumers may able to buy what they goods far from them and make it reachable instead of spending more money for something, and it’s also too time consuming for consumers. Businesses also offers customizing on what customers really wants because as what I have mentioned earlier consumers are demanding, so businesses implemented new strategies that really fits the need and want of customers or consumers. For example in t-shirts designing, some offers free customizing or either customers brings their own design they want for the t-shirt because most customers wants their belongings or maybe gifts wants it to be their handicraft that can they call their own that are unique from others. Customers want to be unique, simple but attractive. That’s the new generations of customers, far from what customers are in the past years. Marketing strategies are evolving because of the demands of most people nowadays. We might think of why businesses are changing their strategies just to increase their profit and to attract more customers, simply because customers now or consumers are now prosumers. It’s just simply because businesses and companies are dependent on consumers because they are the source of profit. So in order to increase their profit they will change or add strategies base on the demands of the people and generations because in demands of people businesses may able to know what should be best products to be produce that might attract customers. Just like in gaming, before 3D games, online games are existed we played kiddy type games that make use fun. But as years pass by we find it boring anymore because it’s not exciting anymore. So businesses came with an idea of developing online games which are exiting than before because with the existing games now people get easily addicted because of it graphics that are realistic that gamers really wants and enjoys. They came up of developing more games nowadays because gamers get bored when it’s already not exciting. There are many games existed in the computers and online in order to not get easily uninterested because if there are many games existed there are lots of options that gamers and customers can choose on in order to still be excited. This are some example on how prosumers affect the strategies of businesses in order to give what society wants, because with the demands there are opportunities that available to businesses.
This are some samples I think about prosumers that I have search in the internet that is also help life be better and make changes on the lifestyle of people that might adopt this things.

Eventually you buy only a fraction of the chips you once needed, and a lot of companies try to figure out what to do with their spare time. Now that’s going to happen on a device level, when suddenly there’s nowhere left to run for anyone.

Is Project Management the best method of implementing changes?
As what I have understand about Project Management is on how to manage a project. And based on my learning in our discussion in Project Management is that it is the best method of implementing changes in a project. It can greatly affect to a certain project because as what I observe and learn from the topics which are given to us as our report, there are so many steps and ways on how to manage a certain project and work it in the right way for it has a template to be followed for a project be successful it should. Project Management is a very helpful in a project as well as on the business area, as we all know that in a business there should be an organization and a perfect management for them to have a smooth flow of process in their businesses and also the project they are working on.

I can say that it’s a best method in implementing change because of its advantages brings in the project. Project management helps the team to organize their task in a proper way that meets its quality intended to that project. Project management is really needed in a project most especially in bigger project because with this they may able to finish the project in a given period of time with its cost intended to that project. Making a project without any management will took very long period before it will be finish because you don’t have any guidelines in the project and you will not be updated on the schedule if it still in the schedule and within the budget. I have searched some reasons why project management is the best method in implementing change because these methods I think mostly used in project management.

• Plan – This is the first step needed in the project to be success because this is where the ideas are generated .This method help the project team or the leader to strategies what should be the strategy they would do in order to make the project success. Without planning of project the team will have problems in completing the project because there are now planning engage in the project.

• Organizing – this is where all ideas are organized in order to identify the needs of the project. This method helps the project team to organize well the needed information and datum in the project. I think this will also be the time to define the scope of the project because you have able to gather information, plan the project, and then organized the datum of the project. We all know that organizing is really a play a big part in the project because without organizing you will find hard of proceeding in the next step because or unorganized management of project.

• Staffing – This were it identifies who should be in the team needed in order to finish the project properly because without staffing you will find hard time to finish the project. Staffing just simply means of recruiting experts needed in the project with each of their expertise. By this method the project will be surely finish within the time frame and within the budget. Also with the help of this method the client will be able to trust you to finish the project in what the client wants with its qualities. Staffing is really helpful in making the project because this were you will Identify the experts that you will need to finish the project.

• Guiding – This were the leader will guide his teammates who are in the project. We should guide our teammates to follow things in order to finish easily the project within the timeframe and budget. Guiding your teammates on what should be the thing to do is very nice act in a team because with the guidance you can guide and monitor you teammates if it still doing good in the project and also you were able to manage the team properly to meet the deadline of the project because for me without guidance you may able to exceed in the schedule given to you by your client.

• Monitoring – This is really one important thing in making a project because you will monitor the flow of the project if it still in the flow or if it is out of flow already. It is really necessary to monitor the project especially big project in order to be updated of the progress of the project, or if it is need time to be finish because without monitoring you will not be updated on the progress of the project if it will be finish with the schedule and time or else it will be no chance to finish the project. Monitoring is really important in project because is where the team will know the status and situation of the project.

• Innovation – I think innovation is not really required in the development of the project because innovations are just additional features that might make the project unique and more productive in order to impress clients. For me innovation still has part of the development of the project because we should not be stagnant of something that we can do, we should explore and be innovative in order to make project more unique. In this generation being innovative is really important because if you’re innovative you can’t stand long especially in business.

• Completion – it is where we should set deadlines of the project because every project is needed to be finish with in the schedule. Gantt chart is one tool that can help to set deadline of the project, with this you were able to schedule the deadlines of the project you were also manage the time that needed to complete the project.

For me project management is really the best method for implementing change because with these methodologies or reasons, the project will be able to finish properly in satisfaction guaranteed. Project management really makes a big impact in project because without management of project the project would probably come up worst, and without project management project will not be able to finish correctly on what the clients really wants. It is really the best method in implementing change because without management probably there are lesser percentage that a project will really be successful with satisfaction guarantee.

Interpersonal skills
We are enrolled in the subject Field Trip and Seminar or FTS because it is in our curriculum. As a part of the said subject we will having a field trip and seminar. As decided of the majority, we will having a 1 major fieldtrip, 1 national seminar, 1 minor field trip, and 1 interpersonal skills.
We have conducted our first part of the said subject in our school last July 21, 2010. In our interpersonal skill the theme of that activities is to gain and meet new friend in order to get closer to others and eliminate the gap between the evening class and day class. In that kind of activity I didn’t really expect to gain lots of new friends. I was happy and enjoyed in that time even though at first I don’t even know each one of my group mates.
At the first part of the activity we have 2 speakers who will share something related to the theme of the activity. The first speaker was the guidance councilor our school. She shared something about gaining new friends and how to socialize with others. As she discusses it I’m quite bored but not really, as a matter of fact I’m still listening to her because I’m interested on it. In the second speaker, i didn’t feel bored on him for the reason that he deliver it well. And I was touch on what he is saying.
After the discussion in the morning we have an activity that is really enjoying because we are like kids playing with each other. As we conduct the said activity we have realized something that might help us in our daily lives.
At the end of the day as we the end activity and go home each of our houses we have the happy memories stored in us ad the purpose of that activity is successful because all of us able to socialized with others and maker friend with them.

Sutherland
As we visited the Sutherland Global Services, one of their employee tour us in their company and will explain further about the company. As he discusses about Sutherland Global Services, he mentioned on how easily to get promoted in that company if you are really interested to work for them. As a matter of fact his one of their employee that been promoted i think in just 3 to 5 months.
In that company I have learned that Sutherland global services also accept trainings and OJT’s in some of the universities within Davao city. As we walked in their company, I have noticed that they have many data center in their company for their computer units to access operating systems and applications. I have also learned that they are using wyse system in their computer that serves as their system unit that will communicate to their data center to request and access some applications. Their data center,I think serve as the mainframe.
As we go along with the tour I’m quite amaze in the security they have because its really strict and their guards are really presentable and in proper manner. I have also noticed that their employees are really enjoying staying in the company and as matter of fact I’m quite interested to work for them in the future if given a chance.
